FORMÉ

The Atelier

Atelier

A craftsman working on a bare 930 body shell in a white workshop

Fewer cars.More hours.

FORMÉ works on one model, in small numbers, in one room. The studio is closer to a tailor than a garage.

Every decision is measured against a single question: would the original designers recognise it?

Process

  1. I

    Strip

The shell is taken to bare metal and read for its history.

  2. II

    Shape

Panels are corrected by hand until the light runs unbroken.

  3. III

    Finish

Paint or polish — the surface becomes the statement.

  4. IV

    Return

The car leaves as it should always have been.
